Red Iron Oxide Description

Iron oxides are produced from ferrous sulfate by heat soaking, removal of water, decomposition, washing, filtration, drying and grinding. They are produced in either anhydrous or hydrated forms. Their range of hues includes yellows, reds, browns and blacks. The food-quality iron oxides are primarily distinguished from technical grades by their comparatively low levels of contamination by other metals; this is achieved by the selection and control of the source of the iron or by the extent of chemical purification during the manufacturing process.

APPLICATIONS

FLOORING COLOURS
Use of coloured flooring and mosaic flooring is prevalent in several parts of  India. In fact, mosaic flooring is coming back in fashion these days and skilled masons for the job are hard to find.
The most used colours for cement/mosaic flooring are Red, Yellow and Black. Synthetic Red & Yellow Iron Oxides are used most for the purpose as they are inorganic and hence do not fade due to weather and UV rays. They are the most stable colours and hence used both in exteriors and interiors.

PAINTS
Iron Oxide Red/Yellow/Orange are extensively used as Pigment in all kinds of decorative and industrial paints. High strength, excellent dispensability and excellent colour stability makes them ideal for use in all kinds of paints under extreme weather and atmospheric conditions. Several different grades are available to obtain different hues of Red, Yellow & Orange.

TILES
They are used to color Paver Blocks, Designer Tiles, and Roofing Tiles etc. due to their long-lasting colour intensity, resistance to UV rays and weathering resistance. Vibrant shades bring life to individual designs at homes, public places and workplaces.

 

 
CERAMIC COLOURS
Our high purity Red Iron Oxide is widely used in the manufacture of Ceramic Colors that go into coloration of Ceramic Tiles in vivid designs.

PLASTIC MASTERBATCHES
Our Synthetic Iron Oxide is heat stable and hence ideal for use in the preparation of colour master batches for the plastic industry. They also disperse very fast and do not migrate.

ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTS
Different shades of Iron Oxides are added to plasters, concrete blocks, surface textures etc. to bring out the best of building exteriors and open up endless possibilities for designers. Such colored finishes can also be used to restore heritage building by matching colors of the blocks/plasters with that of the existing structures.

LEATHER COLOURANTS
Synthetic Red & Yellow Iron Oxides are used extensively for preparation of leather colorants. Our pigments are very free from heavy metals and hence preferred by the industry.
